after 4 years in transco..i have to wave my hands goodbye to the name where i started my career..i haven't felt the difference yet but i'm expecting a better future..
because of the philippine government's goal to privatize the transmission sector of the country, transco (formerly part of napocor) is now ngcp..the national grid corporation of the philippines..the corporation is now owned by the state grid of china (40%) and Monte Oro/Calaca Power (60%)..(maybe today should be a holiday since it's chinese new year..)
some of the higher management officials have been laid off since day 1..everyone is just hoping that the people holding the lower positions (rank&file) would still be chosen to continue their duty..their promise to keep us is still a promise..
the best is yet to come..i just wish..since our logo has been changed from a dynamic T symbol to a circular green sign..i really am expecting a change..for the better of course..a need to change the present culture which sometimes hamper growth and development..which sometimes permits corruption..which sometimes fail to give back the benefits that is for us..i won't accept the status quo..
the new id given to us is still a temporary one..we just have to wait around 165 days to fully make sure we'll be ratained to work for the crown jewel of the country..finger's crossed including my toes..in times of crisis, we don't want to be included to the soaring population of unemployed..pray..pray..pray..
